Fruits

Pitta should avoid acidic, sour fruits like grapes and favor the fruits that are sweet, astringent and juicy.

Some Ayurvedic teaching says that Pitta should avoid bananas because it brings the heat, but this depends on the person digestive fire.

For proper digestion, Pitta is best to consume the fruits at least 30 min before the meal.

Nightshade Vegetables (Solanaceae family) are harmful for Pitta digestion; they contain glycoalkaloids-chemical compounds derived from alkaloids that fight against fungi, viruses, bacteria, and insects.

Nightshade vegetables include peppers, potatoes, goji berries, tomatoes, eggplant and even you are not Pitta, and you are experiencing digestion issues avoid them to improve your digestion.

Choosing for raw dairy products makes them easier to digest due to the enzyme content.
